Although working full time as an actor for the last seventeen years, Jonathan has always been writing. His first sketches were sold to ‘Not the Nine O'clock News' when he was eighteen.
Other writing work includes ‘Brookside', in which he also appeared in for two years as Brian Kennedy the drug-dealing hairdresser.
‘Jack Spot' is Jonathan's first produced screenplay. Originally developed by HandMade Films.
As an actor, his work in the theatre includes ‘Class Enemy' at the Liverpool Playhouse, ‘The Hamlet of Stepney Green' (Hampstead Theatre), ‘Comic Interludes' (King's Head), Plus seasons at Bristol Old Vic and the Young Vic.
Jonathan spent two years in ‘Coronation Street' playing Elsie Tanners grandson - Martin Cheveski. Other works on television includes, ‘Shine On Harvey Moon', ‘The Young Ones' and ‘More Bad News' (comic strip presents).
In 2000 Jonathan formed Black Eye Films Ltd with Tim Hampton in order to develop and raise production funding for his own and other movie projects.
